Our Crazy Fall

We have had a very busy last few months. School started in September and the kids schedules have been full tilt since then. On top of that Shawn, Kim & Brielle were involved in the Pinedale Cimmunity Theatre's production of The Sound of Music.

Brielle had 2 roles, a postulant nun and Ursula the maid. Shawn was great as Captain Von Trapp, and Kim got to fulfill a life long dream by playing Maria. Her favorite scene in the whole play was 'The Bedroom Scene'!! Otherwise known as the Lonely Goatherd. Shawn's favorite was the Kissing scene!! At least that's what Kim likes to think. We all practiced almost every night from October 13th through Opening Night, November 20th. There were about 100 people from the community who worked on the production, from set design to costuming, to orchestration, to performing. We had such a fun time that it was bittersweet when it was over. Sweet, that we had time for our family again, and Bitter that the excitement of working on a big community project and being with all our new friends everyday was over.

Kim also started a new job the same day rehearsals started. She is now working at Bookkeeping Services, a small company here in Pinedale. Strangely enough she does bookkeeping stuff there! She really enjoys the work and the people she works with.

Brielle has started Basketball season at Pinedale High School and is keeping us a running. Baylee will be starting once Christmas break is over. Jace & Jaxon still keep us busy doing what they do too!

We are so happy it's finally Christmas break! The kids get 2 full weeks off this year! Yea!!! Let's hope we dont drive each other completely crazy!

Things are going well for our family! Shawn is now working for Pinedale Natural Gas, the local utility company, installing and maintaining gas lines. Kim is still home with the kids, if you can really call it home when we are constantly in the car traveling from one activity to another! Brielle is getting ready to enter her 1st year of High School and starting workouts for the Volleyball team. Baylee is going into 7th grade, getting ready for Volleyball and is still playing the flute. Jace is starting Middle School this year in the 5th grade. He started learning to play the Snare drum and Bells (Xylophone) this Summer and is excited to play in the band this school year. Jaxon is ready to start 3rd grade and is looking forward to the fun year ahead!
